Some Final Thoughts On The State Meet

Hendricken Boys

In most years, if a team scored 69 points at the State Meet it was usually standing at the top of the podium holding the winning trophy. Not this year, despite an impressive display of pack running, probably the best we've ever seen at the state level. Bishop Hendticken finished as a runner-up to the Rams, but not without a fight. The Hawks top six runners were separated by a little more than seven seconds, finishing between tenth and 21st overall. Think about that for a minute? Nearly their entire varsity squad just 40 meters apart at the finish. It doesn't get any better than that.
