Race committee has assisted numerous people with funds raised from five-mile event, including purchasing a $2,000 wheelchair for former Narragansett track athlete Amelia Garris, who contacted Complex Regional Syndrome.

This Sunday's race, part of the USATF-NE Grand Prix series, will feature some of the top runners from the region.
