Season Culminates with Rhode Island State Championship
The Rhode Island cross country season comes to a conclusion tomorrow with the state championship at Ponaganset High School. The boys are set to run at 1:15 with the girls set to follow at 2:00. Make sure to find your way to North Scituate RI for what is sure to be an exciting competition. On the boys' side, Cumberland's Trevor Crawley will battle the remaining two of the fabled "Four Horsemen" of Chariho when he takes on Bryce Kelley and Jake Kilcoyne. Throw into the mix a stable of Hendricken harriers who average 16:08 at the Class A championship and you can bet this will be one for the history books. On the girls side, Class A champion Emma McMillan, a freshmen, might make her bid to be one of the youngest state champions in recent memory.
