We combine all three class races as well as the junior varsity and restore the meet to compare teams!
Keaney Bayha of Pilgrim High School led the meet overall by around 28 seconds, the senior won the Class A race with a rounded time of 18:24. The performance helped lead Pilgrim High School to a fifth-place finish in the class and 12th in this merge.
Team wise the merge saw the same battle from Class A carryover, with a twist here and there. La Salle Academy, the Class A Champions led the overall merge with 62 points averaging 19:41 and splitting just 45 seconds between their top five. Their top individual was senior Maeve Casey who had the sixth fastest time of the meet at 19:23.
The twist in the merge, which happens sometimes with tight scoring moving from a smaller field to a larger one, Cumberland jumped ahead of North Kingstown 78 to 85, the 3:18 split likely cost some more points for North Kingstown with the added depth from other Class races.
