Max DiMuccio, La Salle gifted tenth-grader, is currently the top tenth-grader in this event after his impressive fourth-place finish at the New England Championship where he ran a PR of 9:17.68. DiMuccio has looked very strong the last few weeks, He captured the Class A title with a best of 8:45.07 for the 3K distance and won his first state crown in 8:53. Judging by the field, it would seem a time in the low nine-minute range or at least sub 9:10 would place a runner among the top 10 this weekend. That might be a little out of DiMuccio's reach but a 9:15 would seem possible.
