Ryan Mardo and Adah Anderson were the respective winners of the annual Cumberlandfest 5K on Saturday.
Utilizing the race as more as tune-up for his upcoming collegiate season, Mardo claimed the men's title with a time of 17 minutes, 8 seconds. The recent Cumberland High grad was comfortably ahead of North Scitaute's David Hurley, who was timed in 17:16. Finishing third overall was Cumberland's Nate Rogers in 17:18. Rounding out the top five was Antonio Rua of Burrillville (fourth, 17:56) and Slatersville's Raffi Manzo (fifth, 18:16).
Anderson, a soon-to-be sophomore at Cumberland, claimed the top female position with a personal best of 19:34, good for 11th overall. Defending champion Amanda McDonald of Wrentham was second in 20:03. Cumberland's Olivia Belt was third with a time of 21:46.
