If you have to pick a darkhouse to sneak into the top 7 it would have to be CJ. The Mount St. Charles junior easily won the Class C title this past weekend with a time of 16:18.42. If pushed, like he will be at the state meet, he's capable of dipping under 16 minutes, a time that would secure a first-team, all-state selection. CJ finished third in his season-opening Injury Fund Carnival race behind La Salle's DJ Principe and Matt Bouthillette with a time of 15:35. CJ was also the second fastest from RI at the Brown Invitational last month where he ran 15:31. The Mount standout has 4:24 mile speed and has done sub nine minutes for 3K.
