No. 6 - La Salle trio part of historical race in New York

On May 9, one of the fastest collective 3200-meter races in history was run at the prestigious Loucks Games in New York. In all, 10 runners cracked nine minutes with the host state's Mikey Brannigan of Northport clocking a nation No. l of 8:42.92.

We had two of our athletes among that list and a third nearly went under the mark, too. La Salle was responsible for all those times with junior Jack Salisbury establishing a state record with his eighth-place time of 8:56.55. Junior teammate Matt Bouthillette was tenth in 8:59.71 and sophomore D.J. Principe was 11th at 9:00.31.
