In the girls’ mile (3:45 p.m. on Saturday) at Dartmouth,
defending champion Sheridan Wilbur and junior teammate Eliza Rego toe the line
with a talented field that features some strong contenders from the northeast
region, including Shannon Murdock from Exeter, N.H. Wilbur and Rego both dipped
under five minutes for the mile during the outdoor season last year and are
capable of pushing the pace. There’s no reason to believe that La Salle’s DMR
(7:45 p.m. on Friday) and/or its 4x800m squad (6:45 p.m. on Saturday) can make
things happen too with Rego and Wilbur among the quartet.
