It's all about the team for Rams' Rego
In order for La Salle to have a chance at winning the state title, it needed a few things to go its way, including a workmanlike effort from its star runner Eliza Rego. Even though the Rams fell short in pulling out the team win, Rego was up for the challenge in trying to make things happen for her team. She defended her titles in the 1,500m and 800m, placed third in the 3,000m and and also ran the anchor on her school's sixth-place 4x400m relay squad with a sub 60-second split.
