The University of Rhode Island men's track & field team opens its 2011 home campaign as it hosts the Sorlien Memorial Invitational this Saturday at noon inside Mackal Fieldhouse.
The University of Rhode Island women's track & field team kicked off its 2011 schedule on a high note as the Rams claimed 10 events and posted three ECAC qualifying marks during the Sorlien Invitational on Friday afternoon at Mackal Field House.

Ken O'Brien's squad finished second amongst six squads, only being beat out by host URI who scored 276.50, compared to UMass' 117.50. UMass will return to the URI indoor track and field facility on February 18th for the A-10 Championships.
