It
was certainly another excellent year of cross country action all throughout the
state of Massachusetts. We saw legends cement their names in the record books
and new stars rise up to claim a spot at the table. Storied programs went
head-to-head, while other teams came together to try and buck the trend.

Ladies and gentlemen, it has finally arrived. All fall, there has been a great debate on who is the top team in the state. On Saturday and in a total time of less than 20 minutes, we will once and for all have the answer to that question.
There won't be any questions about who will win the team race on Saturday. As the season has progressed, St. John's has become stronger each week and now they sit as the #1 team in the state.

As the current flock of Massachusetts high school runners were throwing down this past weekend at the Bay State and Brown Invitationals, large numbers of alumni were scattered across the country competing at all levels of the collegiate system.
Franklin Park is back in the mix for the 2014 High School Cross-Country season. It's been a few years since the historic park has seen any major high school action. The park held the last Eastern Massachusetts All State meet in 2011.
The next-to-last weekend for indoor with the World Champs this weekend, followed by the US HS Champs next weekend.
