La Salle Academy's Jack Mcloughlin was the top finisher for Rhode Island at the New England Championships with a 15:35 run at Wickham Park in Connecticut. Just 12 seconds off his 5K season best of 15:23 from a runner-up finish at the Rhode Island State Meet.
