Nikki Merrill, Portsmouth
Merrill had her breakthrough season last year during indoor track where she nearly led the Patriots to the team title by capturing the 600m, 1,000m and 1,500m. We're expect Merrill to be the top contender in those events again this year. With the cross-country season she had this past fall, where she finished second at the State Meet and recently qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals, don't be surprised to see her dabble in the 3K where a sub 10-minute clocking is certainly attainable.
