Mount Pleasant Invitational Girls' 100m
This race matches the two sprinters who should be battling for individual glory next week at the State Meet - Woonsocket's Quinn Harlan and East Greenwich's Isabella Gentil. Gentil, who was second to Classical's May Stern at last year's states, ran a state best of 12.0 to win the Rick Schomp Invitational earlier this month. Harlan was second to Gentil in that race with her current best of 12.1. The Woonsocket speedster looked very good in her victory at last week's Class A meet where she easily defeated the field with a relaxed 12.3. We're thinking former East Greenwich star Jamie Dorsey's 2011 record of 12.0 could be eclipsed on Saturday.
