Powered by a dominating performance in the pole vault, North Kingstown won the team title at the Cumberland Invitational. The Skippers held of second-place Barrington by a slim 58.5-56 score. Bay View and La Salle tied for third with 43 points.
North Kingstown collected nearly half its total in the pole vault with a 1-2-4-5-6 finish, including an individual crown from Kaitlyn Brayman.
Woonsocket's Quinn Harlan and LIncoln's Samantha Andrews were double-winners in the meet. Harlan took the 100-meter dash in 12.5 seconds and also leaped 16 feet, 0.75 feet to take the long jump. Andrews earned her medals by placing first in the discus with a toss of 123-3 and the javelin with a distance of 99-3.
La Salle's Emily Kane broke the tape in the 800m with a time of 2:17.90. Portsmouth's Elizabeth Sullivan clocked a winning 4:46.90 in the 1,500m.
In a close 400m race. East Greenwich's Laura Murphy held off Bay View's Allya Barrows with a time of 58.20 to Barrow's 58.8 effort.
Ponaganset's Gianna Rao continued her dominance in the hammer with a toss of 176-3.
