This event certainly has the potential to be determined by a small margin, possibly a foot or two or even inches. The favorite would be Woonsocket's Jared Briere, who did 208 feet last year and has a season and state best of 205 this spring. But this past weekend, Briere's teammate joined the 200-foot club by winning the New York Relays with a career best of 204-01. Classical's Jacob Furland was fourth at the meet where he also surpassed 200 feet with a best of 203-0.
