La Salle Academy defended its title in the Distance Medley Relay Friday night at the Dartmouth Relays. The Rams clocked the nation's top time of 10:27.45. Comprising the winning squad with their splits was Max DiMuccio (1,200m, 3:16), Tyler Lamonte (400m, :52), Joe Dos Reis (800m, 2:02) and DJ Principe (1,600m, 4:16). Bishop Hendricken was fourth with a time of 10:50.47.
La Salle placed second in the girls' DMR with the sfoursome of Grace Connolly (1,200m, 3:52.9), Aidan Leahy (400m, 1:05.2), Ally Walsh (800m, 2:26.1)and Emily Kane (1,600m, 5:08.2) combining for a US #5 of 12:32.74. Rush Henrietta of New York, spurred by a 2:09 800m leg from Sammy Watson, took the overall title with a time of 12:26.15. Portsmouth finished fourth in the race with a strong time of 12:36.11 (US #7). Sophomore Nikki Merrill gave the Patriots the lead after the first leg with a 3:48 for 1,200m.
