The Villa Novans' Harlan is the defending champion in the 55-meter dash and should be the favorite to regain her title this winter. After running in the shadow of former Hope great Quashira McIntosh her first two years, Harlan dominated the short sprint in 2015-16, She won the State Meet in a personal best of 7.31 seconds. She also captured the event at the class and divisional meets. Harlan also is the state leader in the long jump where she owns an indoor best of 17-0.25. She was second in the horizontal leap at the outdoor state meet where he had an all-time best of 18-4.5.
