Bishop Hendricken, which has a legitimate chance of dethroning defending titlist La Salle Academy at the state meet, swept the freshmen, JV and Varsity races at the Manchester Invitational in New Hampshire. The Hawks had just a 26-second gap between it first and fifth runners to win the Large School event with a 53-65 win over Pinkerton Academy, a talented squad from New Hampshire. Dominic Parlato and Avery Ingegneri paced the Hawks with a 4-5 finish.
In the girls' varsity competition, South Kingstown sophomore Ellie Lawler was third in the Small School race and fourth fastest for the day with a strong, early-season time of 18:27.
