Barrington junior Mars Bishop, a top middle-distance runner, proved he means business this cross-country season by dominating the meet-opening Croughan Race. Bishop had a more than minute personal best with a winning time of 15 minutes, 28.94 seconds. He was nearly 30 seconds ahead of Cumberland senior Sean Laverty, who was the runner-up at 15:56.44. The Eagles also captured the team title, defeating the Clippers, 39-44.
