Just like the boys, the R.I. girls had a strong presence in the championship hammer with three of the top six placements. Narragansett's Makeena Thomas was third overall with a heave of 167-1. Placing fourth was Toll Gate's Courtney Jacobsen, shown above, with a distance of 164-9, Carly Timpson of Narragansett secured fifth with a toss of 162-9.
