With victories in eight events, including an impressive double by junior Eliza Rego, La Salle won its ninth straight team crown by defeating second-place Classical, 135-79.
Rego posted the nation's fifth fastest time in the 1,500m with an indoor best of 4:38.33. She also broke the tape in the 600m with a time of 1:39.79. Sheridan Wilbur, a senior, was a dominant victor in the 3,000m with a PB of 10:07.57 (US #5). The Rams also had first-place efforts from Karina Tavares in the 1,000m (3:02.41), Stephanie DiTraglia in the 55m dash (7.46) and all three relay events -- 4x200m (meet record, 1:47.45), 4x400m (4:15.22) and 4x800m (9:51.15).
Alva Hicks was a double-victor for Classical, winning the shot put with a distance of 37-2.5 and the 20-pound weight at 55-2.5.
Cumberland, which was third overall with 69 points, had a big day from junior Meaghan Scullin who collected 36 points by earning gold in the high jump (4-10), long jump (18-3.5) and the 300m dash (42.52) and also placing third in the 55m (7.54).
