Indoor Track: Five Boys To Watch In Sprints

Nick Snow, senior, Moses Brown

Nick was the state runner-up in the 300m where he was timed in 36.76. He improved on that clocking at the New England Championship where he ran his all-best of 35.99. Throughout the later part of his indoor season and throughout the outdoor campaign, Nick dealt with ankle issues and still performed strongly, dipping under 23 seconds for 200m several times and also taking second in the 100m at Brian Moretti Invitational and the NEPSAC Division III Championships and winning the Odell Invitational with his current best of 11.02. It was revealed in the off-season of outdoor track that Nick cartilage damage in his ankle. He has surgery in August to repair the ankle and is now running pain-free. In other words, Snow could be ready to earn gold in his specialty this year. Three of the top six runners from last year’s 300m have graduated, including individual winner Zachery Emrich of North Kingstown.
