Indoor Track: Five Boys To Watch In Sprints

Lee Moses, senior, Bishop Hendricken

Lee has been a valuable athlete for the Hawks with his versatility in the sprints and long jump. Last year, he defended his crown in the long jump at the state meet, an event he set an outstanding personal best of 23-.025 at the Class A meet. Lee is the top returning sprinter in the 55m dash where he placed third in 2013. He was also fourth in the 300m and owns a best of 37.17. Lee has some added motivation to excel on the indoor oval this winter. Besides it being his final season for the Hawks, he also coming off an outdoor season that didn’t quite end as planned. Lee was one of the top-ranked runners in the 100m and 200m, but a pulled muscle during his preliminary heat of the 100m had forced him to go home empty-handed in the sprint events. He still picked up 10 points for the Hawks by taking the long jump.
