Four Events To Watch At Class Championships

Class A, Boys' 3,000m

There's no question that Bishop Hendricken is the clear-cut favorite to win its 24th straight team title. This is one event where it will rack up quite a few points with five of its runners among the top six seeds. The reason we picked this event is not necessarily because of the Hawks' potential dominance, but how fast the time will be at the finish. It's not out of the realm of possibilities that we'll have at least three (or more) under nine minutes! La Salle's Max DiMuccio will be the one to break up the Hawks' party. DiMuccio ran to a state best of 8:50 at the Yale Track Classic a few weeks ago. The Hawks' Jack McMahon, Sean Meehan, Ryan Mallozzi, Aidan Tierney and Luke Henseler are among a solid core of runners that will challenge DiMuccio.  According to the seed sheet, this is the only event that DiMuccio is entered in so you know he's been told to go all-out.
