BISHOP HENDRICKEN, BARRINGTON LEAD FIRST COACH'S POLL
After their strong performances at the Injury Fund Carnival, Barrington and Bishop Hendricken see themselves on top of the coaches polls. The Hawks were able to garner all 15 first place votes from the poll. The Lasalle boys were ranked 2nd. Some suprises included the exclusion of Chariho from the top six despite having one of the top performers at the Injury Fund. Most likely that can be attributed to the status of Jake Kilcoyne who was a notable exception on the day of Injury Fund. On the girls side, Barrington was awarded the top spot in the polls despite missing some of their stronger athletes at the Injury Fund. They were given 9 first place votes. Close behind were the La Salle Academy rams with 4 first place votes. The poll was conducted by the Rhode Island Track and Field Foundation and it is the first of three coach's polls. The next will be conducted on October 10th.
