Bishop Hendricken Boys 4th At Nike Cross Nationals!

The Bishop Hendricken boys recorded the best finish ever by a Rhode Island school or New England school at the Nike Cross Nationals on Saturday in Portland, Oregon on Saturday with their fourth place finish in a field of the nation's 22 best programs. The Hawks were only one spot away from an awards podium top 3 finish.

Only a 44 second spread for their top 5 and 16:01 average, Bishop Hendricken was led by seniors Jack McMahon in 45th place with a time of 15:42 and Aidan Tierney in 60th place with a time of 15:49. Rounding out their team's top 5 scoring in the national meet were junior Luke Henseler (70th, 15:54), sophomore Evan Reynolds (89th, 16:07), and junior Matthew St. Jean (131st, 16:26).

An incredible team performance representing the small state of Rhode Island against teams from much larger schools and much larger states. Head coach Jim Doyle did a masterful job coaching and preparing this group of boys to perform at their best on the biggest stage.
