Another National Title For Classical's Furland

Chalk up another huge victory for Jacob Furland!

The Classical High junior, who last month claimed the individual hammer crown at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor (NBNO) Championships, added another national title on Monday by winning the USATF Junior Olympic Nationals' 17-18 division with a heave of 207 feet, 7 inches. Furland's latest effort was achieved at the same site of the NBNO meet, North Carolina State University's Irwin Belk Stadium.

Furland's successful spring season has also included wins at the New York Relays, and the Class B and RI State Championships. At the Class B meet, the Classical standout tossed a season best of of 217-10. His PB is 219-10 from last year's class meet.
