The Scoop: The Indoor Season Is Ramping Up

3. A LeLeux Is Back On The National Radar Again

Louisiana might have another national champion contender on its hands in 2018.

That's because Catholic (LA) High senior Reagann Leleux opened her indoor campaign with an impressive clearance of 13 feet, 3 inches in the pole vault, setting a new U.S. No. 1 mark and the first over 13 feet this winter.

Leleux obviously has pedigree. Her sister Megann was a five-time Louisiana champ and a New Balance Nationals Indoor champ in her senior season.

Reagann could be headed that same way after beginning her season with a big mark at the USATF Galleria Games on Saturday in Birmingham.

Reagann's father, Shane, is a private pole vault coach who also coaches one of Louisiana's top male vaulters last year, Cole Courtois.
