With 132 votes each, Portsmouth's Nikki Merrill and East Greenwich's Laura Murphy tied for the best performance in last week's poll based on their efforts at the Division Championships. Merrill won two races at the Headley meet with state best for the 1,500m and the 1,000m. Murphy was first in the 300m at the Bayha meet where she also clocked a state No. 1.
