We've Had Our Share Of Talent At X-C Nationals

In 2011, Chariho Regional's Mike Marsella would run the state's second fastest time at NXN, finishing 19th overall with a time of 15:42.96.  Four years later, Marsella would become one of just four Rhode Island natives to break four minutes for the mile with a 3:59.97 effort at the Boston Terrier Classic.

As a team, Bishop Hendricken earned a trip to NXN in 2009 by winning the Northeast Regionals. The Hawks placed tenth at the nationals. Jake Sienko was the top finisher, placing 37th overall in 15:48.50. This past year, Sienko was among the competitors at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.
