Run4Kerri
This weekend we will be back in South County for the always-competitive Run4Kerri road race on Sunday, an event held to pay tribute to former South Kingstown runner Kerri Bessette, who succumb to complications resulting from bacterial meningitis while a freshman student-athlete at LaSalle University. Race director Scott Bessette, brother of the late SK harrier, does a superb job in drawing some top competition to this four-mile race, which raises a considerable amount of money for scholarships The race starts and finishes at 380 Matunuck Beach Road in Wakefield .
