One of Rhode Island's most celebrated runners, Andrew Springer of Westerly, won the 2008 Class B Meet with a time of 15:56.52. Springer, a multiple state champion and record-holder, established the current course and state meet mark of 15:14.05 at the R.I. Championships the following week.
