Hope senior Quashira McIntosh has decided to stay local this
weekend where she is the overwhelming favorite in the 55m dash (7.11) and the
300m (39.38) at the Rhody Track & Field Classic at URI. She’ll also lend her foot speed on the Blue Waves’ 4x200m squad,
another top seed. McIntosh appears ready to make some noise. Earlier this week,
she ran the country’s third fastest time in the 200m at a BU Mini Meet. She was
timed in a near PR of 24.69. The 55m dash is set for 12:30 on Saturday with the
300m scheduled to begin at 1:20.
