Quashira McIntosh, senior, Hope
Without a doubt, Quashira is one of the all-time great
sprinters from Rhode Island. ‘Q’ will be finishing her final high school career
on the indoor track surface this winter and don’t be surprised if it’s another
record-breaking season. The multiple state champion has been unbeatable against
her R.I. rivals for the last three years and holds five indoor state marks, including
the 55-meter dash, 60m, 200m, 300m and as member of the Blue Wave’s 4x200m relay
squad. She is the two-time defending state champion in the 55m and 300m. Look
for ‘Q’ to pick up where she left off last year and perhaps improve on her
status on the national stage.
