The word from several RI coaches is that the Ram junior is the early-season favorite to capture the individual title at this year's State Meet. DiMuccio validated that statement this past weekend at the Injury Fund Carnival where he looked smooth and relaxed while racing to the fastest time of the day. The La Salle standout was the only runner to clock a time under 16 minutes by winning the Greene Race in 15:57.27. DiMuccio has demonstrated his excellence for the trails since his freshmen campaign when he finished third at the State Meet. Despite missing most of the XC season last year due to sickness, DiMuccio was able to come on strong during the final few meets. He was eighth at the Class A meet and then earned his second straight first-team all-state nod by taking seventh at states. He continued his last-season success by finishing fourth overall at the New England Championships and 11th at the Nike Cross Nationals Northeast Regionals.
