She recently won the WMass Division 1 race by 40 seconds. She was second overall to last year's New England champion Jacqueline Gaughan of Exeter (NH) at the Woods Trail Run where she clocked an impressive 19:03 on a very-difficult 5K course at Thetford Academy. Jacobs-Townsley also won the Amherst Invitational and PVIAC Championships and placed fourth in the Championship race at the Brown Northeast Invitational where she crossed the line in 17:42 on the generous 3.1-mile course at Goddard State Park in R.I.
