Central's Donatien Djero ran a near state record in the 60-meter dash by finishing second in his preliminary heat with a time of 6.92. He came just short of the 2010 R..I mark of 6.90 by former La Salle Academy standout Kadeem Kushimo from the now-defunct Nike Indoor Nationals.
Central earned the last qualifying spot for the Championship 4x200m relay by finishing third in its heat and sixth overall with a time of 1:29.57. The Knights' foursome was comprised of Djero, Dametrius O'Connor, Jones Mallay and Austin Wolo.
Bishop Hendricken set a state record in the sprint medley, placing tenth overall with a time of 3:33.52. Harry Antone anchored the Hawks' record-breaking relay with a 1:55.47 800m leg.
Barrington's Mars Bishop clocked a PR of 4:18.07 to place fourth overall in the Emerging Elite Mile.
