Gianna Rao creeps closer to 60 feet at RITCA Invitational
The Ponaganset junior is the early-season favorite for the state weight title, and on Saturday had the nation's best toss with a winning distance of 58 feet, 1.5 inches at the RITCA Invitational. That's a personal best by nearly three feet. Entering the meet, her previous best was 54-4.25, which she did to finish fourth at the New Balance Nationals.
