Too close for comfort
In our preview for the state meet, we indicated that the boys' 600m race could be the most exciting one to watch. It certainly lived up to it's billing. In a down-to-the wire affair, Hendricken sophomore Harry Antone, a No. 5 seed, edged defending state titlist Mars Bishop of Barrington and Hawk teammate Matt Williams at the line with a more than two-second PR of 1:23.43. Bishop and Williams also ran a best for the three-lapper with times of 1:23.52 and 1:23.53, respectively.
