Barrington ninth-grader Tea Bishop, younger sister of all-stater Mars Bishop, was the second best of more than 200 freshmen with a runner-up placement in the Frosh 2 race with a time of 15:55.36.
The quickest effort for boys was by Cumberland junior Ben Drezek, a promising newcomer to cross-country who could turn some heads at the state meet in early November. Drezek had the top R.I. placement, taking 11th overall in the Championship Race with a time of 16:23.15.
