Nikki Merrill of Portsmouth finished 3rd in last year's New England Championships with a 17:50 5K PR and eventually qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals individually. Merrill tore it up on the track running 2:08 for 800 meters, 2:49 for 1000 meters, and 4:50 for the mile.
