How did Rhody fare at New England's?

Here We Go Again

At the state meet last week, they were involved in the most competitive race of the day, the 1,500m. It was deja vu for La Salle's DJ Principe and Matt Bouthillette. The only difference is the race was 100m longer. In a race where less than a half a second separated the top four finishers, Principe and Bouthillette were once again among the top pack, placing third and fourth respectively with times of 4:12.71 and 4:12.84 for 1,600m. The winner of the race was red-hot Eric van der Els of Brien McMahon in 4:12.47. For the La Salle duo, not a bad tune-up for a pair of  runners who will be competing in different high-level meets this weekend - Bouthillette in the two-mile run at the Brooks PR Invitational and Principe in the 5,000m at the New Balance Nationals.
