R.I. State Meet: Boys' Team Preview

Hendricken has won 22 state titles in its storied career, but has gone home empty handed since winning its last title in 2010. That could change at Brown. The Hawks have two athletes that are the top seeds in their respective events - Michael Bittner in the high jump (6-1) and Jon Celico in the pole vault (14-0). As usual, though, the Hawks will be relying on their depth, which they have plenty of. Ethan Famiano is tied for No. 2 in the 110m hurdles (15.0), Robert Merlino is a three seed in the 300m IH (40.6) and Kwity Paye is ranked third in the shot (47-3.5) and long jump (21-5). Hendricken's relay squads are also ranked near the top with its 4x100m (third), 4x400m (second) and 4x800m (fourth) squads.
