VOTE for RI's Top Female Indoor T&F Performer

The Indoor track & field season officially came to a close this past weekend with the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships. Throughout the winter, we have had may fine performances by our Rhode Islanders. Now it's your turn to VOTE who you felt was the best of them all. We compiled a list of the five we felt stood out among the rest. Here's a brief summary of each one.

La Salle's Eliza Rego won second straight individual state titles in the 1,500m and 1,000m. She  also made it two straight mile crowns at the New England Championships and at the recent New Balance Nationals anchored her school's winning 4xMile relay with a 4:51 leg and also set at state record of 10:31 in two mile. Cumberland's Meaghan Scullin continued to display her versatility by winning her third consecutive long jump state crown. She also took the high jump and was a runner-up in the 300m. Classical's May Stern established state marks in the 300m and 400m. She was the state 300m titlist and second in the 55m dash. She also captured her first New England title by breaking the tape in the 300m. Classical's Lysah Russell has been one of the top weight-throwers all season. She capped off the indoor campaign by winning a state and New England crown. She earned All-American status for the second straight year by finishing third at the NBNI. Woonsocket's Quinn Harlan was dominant in the 55m dash all season and won her first state title with an all-time best of 7.31. Voting ends Thursday at midnight.
