Another state record for Knights
A few weeks ago, Central High set the state 4x400m record. On Saturday, the Knights will establish a new mark in the 4x200m. With the excitement of the event and a strong field that also features West Warwick, La Salle and Bishop Hendricken, the Knights will dip under the old record of 1:29.72, set by Hope at the 2007 Eastern Championships in New York. The quartet of Donatien Djero, Dametrius O'Connor, Austin Wolo and Franklin Mercado came less than a second from the mark on Feb. 3 when they ran 1:30.49 at the divisional championships.
