Marlborough, Hudson, Assabet Have Young Squads
The Marlborough, Hudson and Assabet boys cross country teams all have something in common. All three teams are small in numbers and young in age. As a result all three teams are lacking in the win column. Coming into this week the three teams had combined for just four wins. The Panthers graduated eight seniors from last year’s team. Several runners did attend a cross country camp this summer and coach Jeff Dowinin was pleased with what he found when practice opened. “We had a real encouraging start. The guys were in great shape and running fast, but unfortunately we haven’t been able to win any meets yet,” Dowinin said.
