  • Staples (CT) won a very tight 4x800m race in 8:07.22.  Their time is US#16 and was just enough to hold off Connecticut rival Norwich Free Academy (8:07.31).

  • Precious Holmes does it again.  The Hillhouse (CT) junior scorched the field with a US#2 time of 38.84 to win the 300m.  Rayanna Relerford of Bloomfield (CT) was second at 41.11 and Sherise Truman of Hartford (CT) was third (41.50).  Hillhouse also dominated the 4x800m relay with a US#10 time of 9:31.32.

  • Joe Velez of Classical High School (RI) was just slightly off his US#1 mark of 76-11.75.  He won the event at 73’5.5”; collecting his third win of the season with a throw over 70 feet.  On the girls’ side, Maggie Dufault (Pilgrim High School, RI) won her event with a US#2 toss of 50’4”.
