Francesca Justin (St. Raphael Academy) ran 12.20 in the 100 meters at the Barrington Freshmen/Sophomore Invitational on April 25, improving from her previous best of 12.68. The sophomore's time ranks #1 in Rhode Island and sets a school record for St. Raphael Academy. Justin won the event among 99 competitors.
Melvin Wilson (Johnston) clocked 11.00 in the 100 meters at the same meet, dropping from his previous personal record of 11.81. The sophomore's mark ranks #4 in the state and #3 among underclassmen, while setting a Johnston High School record. Wilson also ran a personal best 24.50 in the 200 meters, improving from 25.35.
John Dacruz (Cranston East) posted 11.50 in the 100 meters at Barrington, improving from his previous best of 12.55 set in May 2025. The sophomore's time ranks #12 statewide and #7 in his class, placing 12th among 122 competitors. Dacruz also set a personal record of 25.30 in the 200 meters, down from 26.52.
